Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Let the Season begin...

To start the Christmas Season off in Savannah the city tries to make it a Winter Wonderland. They close off Broughton Street to traffic, have booths set up, create a ice skating rink in the middle of the road, and best off all the fill one of the parks with snow! It is such a BLAST for the kids. We have been the last couple of years and the snow is their favorite part! This year we got to go down there with my sister and her kids! All the kids together was a very exhausting day, but a GREAT DAY!

Of course we wished our cousins and family all lived closer, but man when they visit we have such a good time! I hope everyone has a great month preparing for the Wonderful Holiday Season!

Love to all,

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday of the year! Not only for the wonderful food....but for the fun times with family and friends! This year we were having both of our families to our house for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, as a result of last minute work arrangements, the Ramirez's couldn't make it (maybe next year)! My parents and my sister came into town and we celebrated Thanksgiving together. We had a really good time. Jose fried his "famous/delicious" turkey and we (well Mama) made all the fixens to go with it.

It was YUMMY!!!!

It has been a while since us "The Jackson's" took family pictures together, so we attempted it before eating that day. It was hard for us to stop acting silly for a minute and get a good picture, but we finally managed and got a good one!

Me and Amy took some Sisterly Love pictures too!

For some very odd reason I didn't get a picture of me and my family together on Thanksgiving Day. That is very crazy of me, because I am usually all about some pictures! We had a great day anyway and hope you did too.

Day of Hunting

Okay so it's been awhile..........sorry!

Hunting season has begun (obviously a few months back)! Jose and Jackson love to go hunting and spend quiet time in the woods together. Well, Jose finally convinced our prissy little girl to get dressed up in the camo and go hunting with them! They spent ALL DAY in the woods! The left at 6 am and didn't return until 8 pm at night! It was a great experience for them all. Tristan really seemed to enjoy, actually more than wiggle worm Jackson does! To bad I had to work and couldn't experience it with them! I took a few picture of the hunters when they returned home.

Party

Tristan had some friends come spend the night Friday night for her Birthday! We had a really good time laughing and joking with these girls! I don't believe that they got much sleep, but I think they had a good time!

Our night involved Tie-Dying shirts, playing the 'ol timey Pin the Tail on the Donkey, going on a very eventful golf cart ride, having cake and opening presents. All of their shirts turned out really really cute, but boy was that a mess!! I hope they enjoy their shirts for awhile. Saturday morning we woke up early had headed into Savannah. We took them to the 'Starlight Pottery' (paint your own pottery) in Savannah. Watching them really think and use their imaginations was a great experience! The girls really enjoyed it!

I still can't believe that my baby is 7! I Thank God for her everyday and the great joy she has brought to this family!

Soccer

My favorite time of year.....soccer season!

I want to get out there and play soccer so bad as I watch the games. I'm sure I wouldn't make it for 5 minutes, but man do I miss it! I'm so happy that my kids have the love for the game like I did.

Last year was Jackson first year of soccer and he was AMAZING! Tristan has played it since she was 3 years old and has loved it ever since!

I haven't had a chance to take any of Jackson out there playing, but tonight I was able to get some of Tristan. Her facial expressions crack us up as we look at the pictures! I hope they
continue to love it this sport!!

playing Goalie - like her brother!

Our Baby Jake

Jake is our oldest dog. We got Jake shortly after Tristan was born, so they have grown up around here together. Between Tristan and the dog Jake ..... they keep us laughing. Jose & Jackson came to the realization the other night that Jake DOESN'T LIKE it when they "beat-box"! It's quite entertaining to us to aggravate Jake. Here's some proof! You will have to pause to music to hear the video.

Fall

They say it's fall....but where is the cool weather?! It's still HOT as hay-dezz here in Savannah! Well the kids are back into the swing of things with school, Thank Goodness. I don't think I am but at least they are! They've started soccer practice and are getting to start their games! The love soccer season (just like their mama). Jose got convinced to coach both of their teams! So he's out there trying to coach from side lines - something that he has never played! But he's doing good and enjoying it.

As for Jose, he's still not back to work. Still having a really hard time with his should. Has had 2 surgeries, weeks and weeks of therapy and still not ANY better. He is getting very down on himself and depressed about it. He's scared that he's not going to be able to do the job that he LOVES TO DO (that's what kills him the most)!!! He goes for a 2nd opinion next week - so keep him in your prayers (he really needs it)!

Family outing

Today we took a mini trip to the Jacksonville Zoo. We had such a good time. I love taking pictures so I was in heaven taking pictures of all the animals! I've just re-done Tristan's room into a "Big Girl" room.......so I can't wait to print some of the pictures out and frame them for her room!

The kids had no idea where we were going when we woke them up at 7 this morning. Of course they were NOT happy about waking up early on a Saturday, but they were so very happy when we finally arrived at our destination!

The Giraffes were our absolute favorite, they were gorgeous! The monkeys and chimpanzees were so funny. One of them loved Jose....kept begging Jose to give him some Cheez-its! We had a GREAT DAY!!!

Love to all.......

1st Day of School

The kids wouldn't cooperate and let me take many pictures, so I only got a couple! Jackson was really not happy about taking pictures, he's too big and too cool for them!!!!

First day went great! No complaints! Give them a couple more weeks and the complaints will begin!!! Love to all.......

Summer....

Oh my Goodness where has the summer gone?! My kids go back to school in a week and a half! It's unbelievable. I love getting up in the summer mornings not having to worry about anyone about myself! It's peaceful and I actually get to work on time everyday during the summer! Jackson is starting 5th grade this year - which is total eye opener. One more year until he goes to middle school! Man are we old. Tristan is going to be going to 1st grade. Man o Man!

We ask that all of our families and friends keep Jose (and me) in your prayers for the next few days. Next Wednesday he will be having surgery on his shoulder AGAIN! The Dr. is not sure what he is going in there to do, but hopefully he figures out what's wrong once he gets in there. Will keep you all posted on this!

Love to all.

Fourth of July Celebrations

We had a great 4th of July celebrating with our families. We got to watched fireworks, spent time at the pool, do a little shopping, get lost driving around on a golf cart, celebrate Jose's birthday and going to the Ga Aquarium. It was sad to leave after visiting with everyone, but the saddest part about leaving was leaving Jackson behind. He chose to stay in Atlanta for a week with my Nena & Papa for a whole week. It's hard for us, be we know he will have a good time!

2009 Dance Recital

Tristan just finished her 3rd year of dance. This year she took at a different dance studio, Coastal Performing Arts Academy, in Pooler. Her teacher this year was Mindy Crawford, Michael's wife. She really seemed to enjoy it. To her, having Mrs. Mindy as her teacher was the best. Since we are still such good friends with the Crawford family, she figured she could just do whatever her heart desired in class and Mrs. Mindy wouldn't care. Most of the time she was right!!! Mindy was great with her and taught her a lot! We will see what next year holds..... Jose thinks she needs to drop dance all together and stick with sports!!! But in the end that will be her decision. Enjoy the Pictures! Love to all........

Jackson's 10th Birthday

It is hard to believe that our baby boy is now 10 years old!? What a reality check!! He will be starting 5th grade this year, and only has one more year of elementary school - then he's off to middle school!!! I think I will need to be admitted to the hospital once that happens! It's very very hard to believe. We for Jackson's birthday we didn't do much celebrating because his birthday was 2 days after Jose had his surgery. We have promised a birthday party sometime in the near future. He completely understood. For his birthday he wanted some new golf clubs. Let me warn you lefty junior golf clubs are not easy to come by. We searched and searched until we finally found some. He was ecstatic!!!! Now he just need to get him signed up for some lessons and we might have a little pro on our hands.

11 years......

What an experience it has been! Jose and I just reached our 11 year anniversary. Some days we feel like we are climbing a rock hill, but all in all I believe we are both two Happy Peaches!!! Who would have thought 17 years ago, when we met, that we would one day be saying that we've been married for 11 years! The blessings God gives us........
TO celebrate we took a romantic get-a-way weekend to Saint Augustine, Florida. My mom and Grandmother came into town and took care of our precious babies. (Thanks Mama and Grandma Bonnie - we couldn't have done it without ya'll)!! We did a lot of site seeing and relaxing. (I will get some pictures posted soon) Never knew I could sleep all night long!!! It was very nice to get away and spend some quality time together. Hopefully we will have many, many more years of celebrating together in our future!

Before we left on our little get-a-way, Jose was injured at work again. This time it was is right shoulder. Needless to say, he is currently out of work and will be having surgery next Friday on his shoulder. The doctor is not exactly sure if it's the rotator cuff or his labrum, but they are going to go in there and fix whatever the problem is! So please keep us in your prayers!

School is almost out!!!! YIPEE! The kids officially have only 2 more weeks of school and we are all so excited! No more getting up early and fighting in the morning about hair, clothes, shoes, lunches, etc........ Looks like they will probably be spending the summer at home with Jose, since he will be out on the injured reserve list!!!

Hugs and Kisses to all!! I will keep you posted on the injured!

Easter

Easter is my favorite holiday! I love it not only for the reason we celebrate Easter, but for all the fun that comes in that one very day. This year the kids and I were invited to spend the afternoon at Melissa & Davie Howard's house with their families. Jose was sadly working, so he couldn't join in on all the fun. We had a wonderful Easter meal and the kids enjoyed an very large egg hunt! Thanks to the Howards for inviting us over on such a very special day!! We are really going to miss them when they move to N.C. :(

This time of the year is very very busy around the Ramirez house. This year Tristan has started playing softball. What fun it is!? So now we really feel like we live at the ball park. . . .not only for Jackson but for Tristan, too! But, we actually love it and wouldn't have it any other way!
