Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS.....From our Home to Yours!

The Ramirez Christmas was pretty quiet this year! It came and went so fast for us this year! We enjoyed quiet, quality time home alone with each other!! It was nice, but at times lonely, not having any local family to enjoy the Holidays with!

We did have a great Christmas and hope you all did as well! May God Bless each and everyone of you in the upcoming 2011!

Thanks...

I just wanted to take a minute to Thank all of my friends and family for the FB messages, phone calls, text messages and emails within the last week. Each and every one meant a lot to me and touch me in special ways. IF you sent me something and I didn't respond, please don't take it personal! For a few days there I didn't care about anything but sleeping and taking my pain pills!

Looks like I'm finally on the verge to being back to normal (if there even is a normal for me)! Tomorrow I have a CAT scan scheduled to see if they can tell exactly what was going on in there. Hopefully drinking all that crap before the scan doesn't make me sick and knock me back down on my bottom!

As most of you probably know I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease back in 1999. Besides the normal daily issues, I haven't had any major problems since I've been on medication. Thank the Good Lord!!! So when this hit me so hard on Sunday night we were all a little frightened. Hopefully, the doctor has it back under control and I don't have any more issues in the near future!

Thanks to everyone - I appreciate you all!

Covered Law Enforcement

As we all know, Jose has a very strong LOVE for Law Enforcement. I've never seen or much less met anyone who loves and cherishes their career as much as Jose. He loves to use his Faith and Christianity to get him through his daily struggles. I believe that Officers have a special place in Heaven waiting on them! Romans 13:4 states: For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

He was placed in this career for A REASON!

Law Enforcement Officer's face different challenges EVERYDAY. Probably way different challenges that you or I face in or day to day lives! A lot of people tell me they don't know how I do it, being married to an Officer. I have to say that it's not the easiest thing in the world, but I know in my heart that God is with him protecting him and God is with me and the kids as well. As stressful as it may seem for me, I know it's even more stressful on Jose. The tragedy, disruption, and chaos that he experiences creates emotional and psychological tension, then he has to come home and deal with our stress!

Jose has come in contact with a very unique ministry that I wanted to share. It's called 'Covered Law Enforcement'. This ministry serves 2 purposes: to promote solidarity among Christian law enforcement personnel and to create a unique way for witnessing of salvation through Jesus Christ. I believe that if Jose can change someones life not only by saving them from more trouble, but introducing them to Christ - THAN HE HAS DONE HIS JOB!

This is a new ministry that needs much prayer and support right now. We are asking that our friends and family pray for this ministry and the ones involved. http://www.coveredlawenforcement.org/ . CHECK IT OUT!

Time Fly's

WOW....it's been awhile! We've been so busy I haven't had time to update everyone on the Ramirez Life! Between Jose being back to work, Jackson playing travel baseball and now on 2 soccer teams, and Tristan playing soccer we really dont have much time for anything else! We only ended up taking one mini family vacation this summer to the little island of Tybee Island, Ga! Exciting right?! Since Jose started back to work in February he has next to none vacation - so we could only take a long weekend.
Well that weekend ended short. Our female boxer, Zoe, ended up having 8 puppies while we were gone, so back to Rincon we went! The few days we were there we did have a good time!

I can't believe the summer is already gone!

Yet Another Award....

Knowing how much Jose loves his job it makes me so very happy and proud of him when he gets acknowledged for his hard work. He being in the Law Enforcement career for 11 years has made many accomplishments and been recognized by many people. The best of his awards was through the Savannah Police Department, when he won "Rookie of the Year". We were all so very proud of him and what he had accomplished in only 1 year as a police officer!

Recently, he was nominated for yet, another award. This one being a "Mayor's Choice Humanitarian Award", through the City of Rincon. He was nominated and voted on, not only by the city co-works but by the Mayor of the City.

Me, the kids and all of our extended family are SO VERY PROUD OF YOU JOSE AND ALL OF YOU HAVE DONE! We love you so very much!

Love Always,

I gave birth to the most beautiful, fun, loving, caring, smart, baby boy! He has brought us SO much joy in our lives! We have watched him grow from a baby boy to a young man! It's so hard to believe that my baby is turning 11 years old! Man oh man do they grow up fast!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKSON ALEXANDER!!!!

WE LOVE YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH!

Love to all,

Strawberries

Recently we went out to the Ottawa Farms Strawberry Festival to see what it was about. We picked lots of strawberries and took a long hay ride through the farm. We ate strawberries for weeks - well the kids and I did! Daddy not a fan of strawberries. Nothing like a fresh strawberry!

A Ramirez outing...

We love going and driving through the Savannah Wildlife Refuge. The kids get such a kick out of it looking for the Gators. I get a kick out of taking pictures, so as we were driving through one day I took advantage of taking some scenery pictures. I think they are good so I had to share!

The time has come....

I wish I could say it "ain't so" - but the time has come. Some are happy, some are thrilled, some are in disbelief, but for me, I'm torn up! I am currently holding back the tears as I type!!!

It's official........Jose has been released, by his Dr., to go back to work on the streets.

I have such mixed emotions about this. I'm so HAPPY for Jose, cause he gets to go back to the job that he loves so much. After waiting and thinking that he physically wouldn't ever be able to go back to the streets. And after being so physically and mentally torn down! Here he goes! Some don't understand and will never understand Jose's love for his job. But me, on the other hand, I know and completely understand! I see the glow and sparkle in his eyes as he puts on his uniform. Or even when he's just talking about his job, he gets so gitty - like a child with a new toy! THIS IS WHY I HAVE TO BE HAPPY!!!!!
God has created such special men and women to have jobs of this sort - and through my eyes - they are called Heroes!

I know some of you are reading this and are thinking "Is she CRAZY?!" (for being upset). But none of you will ever know or understand how I feel (unless, maybe my fellow cop wives)! It's not easy being a wife of a cop. I know, I know it could be much worse! He could be going off to fight in the war in another country - for a year at a time. (My hat goes off to those families for sure)! But I Thank God he isn't.....I think my family would have to admit me to a mental institute if he was!

The last 11 months have just been AMAZING! We (as a family) HAVE GROWN SO MUCH!!! Not only with each other, but in God! We have been able to spend SO much time together and do such amazing things! I wouldn't have traded it for the world! In all the years of being married and having a family, Jose has always worked shift work or worked long hours, so he hasn't been with us in every adventure! But to me the last 11 months have really made up for that! WE have been able to go and do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, without stopping and having to look at the calendar to see if "Daddy has to work"! IT HAS BEEN A TRUE BLESSING!

Jose not going back to work IS NOT AN OPTION - IT'S LIFE! So I have to get over this and I will. It's just gonna take me a little bit of time to get back into the swing of things without him being there so much! I will be okay! But right now for my friends and family that are reading this: I ask for your Prayers! Not just for me and my strength to get past this, but for our kids strength and understanding (they aren't liking this either), ALSO for Jose and his safety. It's not a safe world out there, so please keep him in your daily prayers - TO BE SAFE ON THE STREETS!

We had Snow!

YES....in Savannah, Georgia we had snow! We know it's very, very hard to believe! Trust me - we didn't believe it until we saw it! What a blast we had too! It brought back such great childhood memories for me! Growing up in Denver, Colorado, snow was one of my everyday adventures. Yes, I can actually tell my kids that I walked to and from school in the freezing cold snow! But I loved it and seeing it here was a real treat!

Our house the next morning!

Jose, was acting like the biggest kid of us all. I don't think I've ever seen him so excited and thrilled to be outside playing!

(here he is trying to make a snow angel!)

We got home at about 7:30 Friday night from a day of scooter-pootin'...as it was raining he got the kids bundled up and we all stood in the garage and watched it change from rain, to sleet to the biggest snow flakes ever! We let the kids stay outside as late as they wanted (knowing they might not ever experience something so beautiful leaving in Savannah)! They finally gave it up at about 10:30 that night.....the cold and wetness got the best of them and it was time to go in!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all had wonderful Holidays like the Ramirez family did.

We spent Christmas here at home. It was very nice and relaxing. Even though we did miss our families being with us on such a wonderful Holiday....we had a great day! Christmas morning is always fun but very hectic! Tristan decided it was time to wake up at 1:30 AM! She went into the living room and went plunging through all the presents. She came into our room and proceeded to tell us everything she and her brother got from Santa. We had to calm her down and make her go back to sleep. That was a chore! Eventually she fell back asleep, but not for long! The kids finally convinced us to get out of the bed at 6:30 AM! We had a blast! We all got more than we could ever ask for!

For New Years Eve we went to Atlanta to visit our families. Jose's family was in from Puerto Rico, so it was Great to visit with all of them. We were able to take some great pictures! It was nice, COLD, and a very, very relaxing trip!

We hope you all have a very Blessed year!

Tristan's Baptism

We took a short weekend trip to visit some very special friends in North Carolina last month. During the visit to see the Jones Family we went to their church and watch a very special Christmas program. The program was called "The Promise". It was a very inspiring musical, play about the Story of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! After seeing that program, curious little Tristan starting asking lots of questions about Jesus and the devil. We did our very best to explain the life and death of Jesus along with the evil devil and what he tries to accomplish during your life. She was very interested and then decided that she wanted to ask Jesus into her heart! We then had her talk to our Pastor, Brother Bob, and let him explain the meaning of Baptism and they life of being a Christian. She was so excited and ready to be Baptized after that.

Well today was the day! Tristan was Baptized. We are so proud of her and her decision (all on her own)! We pray that she continues to live her life as a Christian and teaches others all about him and the Wonderful things he can do !!!

The video for some reason will not download to this website. I will have to try at a later date, cause right now I'm about to go off the deep end trying to figure it out!
