Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

PRAY

Dear Friends and Family,
(in Effingham County, GA, surrounding areas and across the U.S.)

I come to you all today, and just ask for you to PRAY for our community.

The Effingham County Community has experienced a lot of tragedy and pain the last couple of months/years. Most of the things we just don't understand. It's so much for our kids to comprehend, much less understand. We are all asking WHY? Why our community? Why our kids? I know, as a Christian, that we are not suppose to be questioning God. But at this point, with so much pain and tragedy, it's hard not to.

I'm trying to keep in mind John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

Today, if you are reading this, I ask that you STOP and say a special PRAYER for our schools, our kids, the teenagers, all the parents, the counselors/teachers and our community in a whole.

WE NEED IT!

We need God back in our Schools, our Homes our Lives! PRAY, pray, PRAY - the evil one has us on his radar and we are in control of how much power he has! Never cease praying and fully rely on GOD!!!!!!

Love to all,
Carrie

Day 10 of 365

Well I've made it to 10 days!!!!! I can't believe I've actually found a few minutes of my everyday to stop and do this. But it's been really fun! Every time I pull out the phone to take a picture of something the family says in unison - UGH - is this for the BLOG!! So they might not last the 365 days of picture taking - but hopefully I will be here!

((Just an FYI - If you find this boring or not so very informative enough for you - there is no need for you to come here and check us out! As most of you know we don't have ANY family close by to watch over us, spend daily time with us or to watch the kids continuously grow.......this if for them (and close friends that care :))! They can keep up with us daily and feel like they are close by!))

MY BOYS

I'm so very PROUD of these 2! The one on the right is our Strong Christian Spiritual Leader in the house, and the one of left is growing into such a fine Chrisitian young man! Jackson has such a great Christian Mentor to follow everyday and I LOVE IT!!!! Last night this is them before going to a Father/Son Banquet at church! NOTHING is more important in a boys eyes, than to be LOVED AND ACCEPTED by their fathers!! The love and the bond that these two share makes my heart smile daily! God - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THEM!

Day 9 of 365

The last few years, months, days have been very difficult in our County. Everything has just really hit home lately. Teenagers, every where and in our County, really need our prayers RIGHT NOW!! Life is obviously not easy nor breezy as it should be at that age! Our schools need to show the LOVE and offer some major counseling to these students. Not only do we all need JESUS in our hearts, but we need to be sharing his LOVE with others for them to FEEL HIS POWERFUL LOVE.

Parenting is not an easy job. But telling your kids how important they are, how proud you are of them, showing your love by hugging them and kissing them daily is VERY IMPORTANT! I try to do these things to my kids everyday. I know I'm not the best parent in the world - in fact I'm sure we all have our faults - but kissing and hugging them and telling them I LOVE THEM is something I do every chance I get!

I ask myself everyday...........

Will these 2 ever know how much I LOVE THEM and CARE ABOUT THEM!!!

Project 365

Today I was reading a friend's blog and I see where she is starting a project with her families daily memories. It's called Project 365. I just loved the idea so much, I've decided to copy her (only after asking her for permission first)!

The purpose is to document a year of your life by taking a daily photo. There is a whole website designated to this....but me, like my friend Bethany, have decided to just do it on our Blogs! Hopefully, I can stick with it! I know I'm crazy just adding something else to my (crazy) daily schedule, but it sounds fun. So I will try it! Now if I skip a day, week, month - please don't hold it against me....I've obviously gotten sidetracked!!!!

So here starts Day 1 of 365 - The Ramirez Project 365

Honoring First Responders

Sgt. Dan Flood, Brother Bob (our Pastor) and Jose

In honor of the 10th Anniversary of September 11th, our Church had a very nice Memorial/Tribute Service on Sunday night. I was an amazing service. Not only because of the wonderful purpose it served, but because Jose gave his testimony. Out of a congregation of over 600 people I don't believe there was a dry eye in the place. I'm so very proud and blessed of the Christian man/leader Jose has become.

"WE WILL NEVER FORGET!"

Love to all and God Bless,

A Proud 'Momma' Once Again....

It's time for me to do a little bragging (again)!

My Daddy-O (aka Jose) got himself, yet another, award! He makes me so proud!

In July he was awarded: The Public Safety Humanitarian Award, from the City of Rincon. Not very often is our hard work acknowledged in our lives....so for him to receive this award was very rewarding! I am so very proud of him and all he does in his day to day activities Protecting & Serving our Community. He is so good at what he does, but most of all HE LOVES WHAT HE DOES and that makes a big difference!

If you come across anyone in blue - pat them on the back and tell them how much you appreciate all they do for your community. I promise it will make a difference in their day!

Love to all,

Carrie

P.S. and yes he calls me 'Momma'!
