Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Jackson's 10th Birthday

It is hard to believe that our baby boy is now 10 years old!? What a reality check!! He will be starting 5th grade this year, and only has one more year of elementary school - then he's off to middle school!!! I think I will need to be admitted to the hospital once that happens! It's very very hard to believe. We for Jackson's birthday we didn't do much celebrating because his birthday was 2 days after Jose had his surgery. We have promised a birthday party sometime in the near future. He completely understood. For his birthday he wanted some new golf clubs. Let me warn you lefty junior golf clubs are not easy to come by. We searched and searched until we finally found some. He was ecstatic!!!! Now he just need to get him signed up for some lessons and we might have a little pro on our hands.

11 years......

What an experience it has been! Jose and I just reached our 11 year anniversary. Some days we feel like we are climbing a rock hill, but all in all I believe we are both two Happy Peaches!!! Who would have thought 17 years ago, when we met, that we would one day be saying that we've been married for 11 years! The blessings God gives us........
TO celebrate we took a romantic get-a-way weekend to Saint Augustine, Florida. My mom and Grandmother came into town and took care of our precious babies. (Thanks Mama and Grandma Bonnie - we couldn't have done it without ya'll)!! We did a lot of site seeing and relaxing. (I will get some pictures posted soon) Never knew I could sleep all night long!!! It was very nice to get away and spend some quality time together. Hopefully we will have many, many more years of celebrating together in our future!

Before we left on our little get-a-way, Jose was injured at work again. This time it was is right shoulder. Needless to say, he is currently out of work and will be having surgery next Friday on his shoulder. The doctor is not exactly sure if it's the rotator cuff or his labrum, but they are going to go in there and fix whatever the problem is! So please keep us in your prayers!

School is almost out!!!! YIPEE! The kids officially have only 2 more weeks of school and we are all so excited! No more getting up early and fighting in the morning about hair, clothes, shoes, lunches, etc........ Looks like they will probably be spending the summer at home with Jose, since he will be out on the injured reserve list!!!

Hugs and Kisses to all!! I will keep you posted on the injured!

Easter

Easter is my favorite holiday! I love it not only for the reason we celebrate Easter, but for all the fun that comes in that one very day. This year the kids and I were invited to spend the afternoon at Melissa & Davie Howard's house with their families. Jose was sadly working, so he couldn't join in on all the fun. We had a wonderful Easter meal and the kids enjoyed an very large egg hunt! Thanks to the Howards for inviting us over on such a very special day!! We are really going to miss them when they move to N.C. :(

This time of the year is very very busy around the Ramirez house. This year Tristan has started playing softball. What fun it is!? So now we really feel like we live at the ball park. . . .not only for Jackson but for Tristan, too! But, we actually love it and wouldn't have it any other way!

Congrats to Jackson

Jackson is in a group in Church called "Royal Ambassadors" or RA's. It's sort of like a boy scout group, but it's through the church and they learn how to be young Christian boys. The past few weeks they have been working on Pinewood Cars to have a Pinewood Derby Race. Jose has been helping him work on this car to get it to perfection, they even named it "Highway to Heaven". Well Saturday was the big day! It was a double elimination. So Jackson's car raced, raced and raced, then finally lost his first race. He made it all the way to the finals! He was so anxious, he could barely sit still! He came in 2nd place! Then they had a Car Design Show. . . . Jackson came in 1st!! He had the Best Designed Car!!! My boys really made me proud!

Winter is here

Here in Savannah, it is officialy cold! Of coarse it's not cold enough for snow, durn it! My kids want to see some snow fall so bad! But I can't magically make snow appear here! So we are getting ready to take a little mountain trip, and we are praying that while we are there we will see snow! In a couple weeks, us, along with the Shiell family, the Crawford family and the Morris family are headed to a cabin in the mountains, for a little retreat! We are all taking our kids, so the adults will be WAY out numbered! But, that will be fine because they will all keep each other company! We ask for your prayers for safe travels, good time and snow fall!!!

Back in the groove. . . .

Well here we are already halfway through January, it's unbelievable!! As for us, we are officially back in the grove of things around here since the long Holiday Break! Jackson has already started baseball practice - in this cold weather! And Tristan is back into swing of things at dance class. They brought home report cards this week and we are very, very proud of them and their grades! Jackson has all A's and B's, which is great, because I'm not really sure where this kid came from this year!!!! Tristan is only in Kindergarten so they don't have letter grades. But from what the teacher tells us she can color good, count right and she can write her name!! So we are just as proud of her! Life is great around here, not much to complain about! Hope life is treating everyone good! Love to all and keep in touch. . . . .
