Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

And the credit goes to.....

Every time I make a post, rather it be on Facebook, Twitter or this blog, I'm sure some of you ask yourselves questions like:  Why does she always post about God?  Scripture again? Why is she like this? Are they perfect or something?  Why do they so express so much feelings on here?

 - Well don't worry I use to ask myself the same question a few years back-

But mine and my family members lives have changed, all for the better (and so can yours)!  We have turned everything over to God and now we live at peace!  Nope, I'm not perfect! Nope, my life is not perfect!  Nope, my kids are not perfect! Nope, my husband is not perfect!  And Nope, my marriage is not perfect!  But with God's help, daily, on these things we can live our lives more peacefully.

This weekend Jose and I attended our 2nd Marriage Enrichment Conference at Winshape Retreat, in Rome GA.  Nope things weren't bad at home, we just wanted to add some sparks to our already Godly marriage!  Boy did it!  We had Awesome weekend....spending quality time together, hanging with friends, meeting new friends,  hearing the Word from Dr. Gary Chapman, a little comedy relief from Kenn Kingston and exploring the beautiful Berry College Campus. If you ever get a chance to go, I say GO FOR IT - it is worth every penny!

Thank you to our family and friends who hold us accountable in our daily lives.  You have no idea how much each and everyone of you mean to us! We will continue to pray for each and everyone of you. WE ask that you continue to pray for us and our family as well!

Just Pray....

...for his safety, his strength, his faith, his well being and for God's Will to be done with him.

From his first day of kindergarten to his first day of high school, boy has he grown. Time has flown, just like people told us it would. It's so hard to believe we only 4 more years until he's on his own.

Jackson, we are so proud of you and the young man you have be come. You light up our days everyday! We hope you enjoy these next 4 years of your life. You will have your ups and downs, but just keep your Faith and you will do great. Enjoy every minute of it and remember everyday counts.

15 years!

WOW, where has the time gone?

As we approach April 25th, my mind does nothing but wander and think back to what we were doing on these days, 15 years ago. I, myself, was a nervous wreck. Barely eating (because of nerves), but more Excited about our new adventures that lie ahead.

15 years ago, I married my Best Friend, my Hero, my True Love and my Everlasting Partner. We were so young and innocent and saw nothing but hearts in our eyes. People said it wasn't going to be easy, but when you are so in love you don't think anything could ever go wrong. Well they were all right, in some ways.....it hasn't been easy.

Our marriage HASN'T been a bed of roses, an everyday full of paradise, a day without an argument, nor a good romance novel. Our marriage is a full time job, that has to be worked on everyday.

BUT......
Our marriage is US! We have had our hard days, our wonderful days, our ups, our downs, our laughter and our tears, but we are in it together until the end. Never a regret has been felt for our decisions and commitment that we made 15 years ago. Our love has done nothing but grow.....grow in strength, in love, in commitment, in friendship, and  most importantly in FAITH. We say that whatever God brings us to, He will bring us through....as a married couple!

I couldn't be more happier with the way our life is today. We have  handed our lives and our marriage over to God and let Him have full control of everything. Yes, we still have our battles, but with God as our referee we will overcome anything. The last 15 year's have been a true Blessing! I wouldn't go back and change anything. Every battle, every tear, every laugh, every prayer, every hug and every kiss has brought us to where we are today. IN LOVE!

I can't wait to see what the future holds for us as a Loving Married Couple. Growing old with my Best Friend is going to be fun, because we are going to make it fun.

Jose Ramirez I love you more than you will ever know. You are the Love of My Life....forever and always. I'm so proud of you and the Godly person you have become. You are my rock! You complete me! Thank you!

Big Nasty Mud Run

I have  hit another accomplishment that I am proud of! I ran in my first Big Nasty Mud Run this past weekend.

It was a 4.1 mile, muddy run that contained 26 obstacles. My partner and I, Rebecca, finished the race in 1:15, which we were very happy about!

I have been running, usually not more than 3 miles, for about 2 years now. I love it. It relaxes me, and makes me feel very accomplished. Not only have I been running, but I also have been doing Crossfit. Crossfit is a very intense core strengthening and conditioning workout. I have been doing this for about 8 months now. Which I have to say.....Crossfit has changed my life. I love love love it! With these two different types of training mechanisms I was physically prepared for this race. And it felt great!

Needless to say I'm very proud of myself and my partner for completing this race. And coming in 6th place in the all woman partner groups!!!
         AND YES I'M BRAGGING!!

Easter 2013

He is Alive.....Thank you God!

We are Blessed beyond measures, between family, friends and our church family, and we are so Thankful. Each loves us for who we are! This Easter we started our morning out with a wonderful church service at FBC Rincon. Then proceeded to our church families house for lunch. Kids got to fish, run and play, hunt eggs and enjoy the beautiful day.

Thank you Lord for a great day. We are so happy to have you in our hearts and lives. No we aren't perfect people, but your unconditional love and grace purifies us daily. Thank you for being rejected, suffering and dieing on the cross for our sins. What an amazing gift!

Happy Easter to all and God Bless!

D-Now

What is D-Now?
This is a question I keep getting asked as I've been posting pictures about our D-Now weekend......

D-Now or Disciple Now is a youth retreat weekend. The youth get to get away from their home, hang out with friend, fellowship, play games/pranks, be lead by older students, etc. It focusses on Small Groups, Discipleship, Church Focus, and service opportunities. It's a great time for the youth to relax and focus on their relationship with God, but to also have a good time.

This weekend we were the Host Home for 11th grade girls. So we had 4 girls + 2 college leaders. It was great to see these girls all come together, become stronger friends, but also grow in their relationship with Christ. Us old people were very sleep deprived, but it was well worth the fun. (We got caught up on our sleep yesterday after church)! We were blessed with a great group of girls, who currently have their hearts in the right places. I pray these girls continue on Our Father's track for their lives, as they will soon be entering the real world!

As one of the D-Now traditions, the high school girls play pranks on the high school boys and vica-versa. So Saturday night was the big pranking night. They all dressed in their 'Destroyer' outfits and went out. It was all, of course, done in fun and no property was permanently damaged. Needless to say Tristan was in heaven, but we had to quickly remind her that this was not normal activity!!!

Here are our Destroyers ready to Roll Out!

Thank you God for a wonderful fun filled weekend!

God Bless You All

Teenagers

I sure wish kids came with an instruction book!

There is this thing that lives in my house, who  appears to be a teenage boy. Boy is the key word here....notice I didn't call it a teenage man. Because a man wouldn't act the way this thing acts. This thing is called my son, Jackson, who is gonna be the death of me.

(Heaven help me if T acts this way when she becomes a teenager!!) I better start praying!

I need a manual, an instruction book, a guide to teach me how to raise this boy. His attitude is off the chain! So does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this teenage boy situation?! This mama (and even dad) are at a lose for words!

HELP

God Bless,
Carrie
