Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

D-Now

What is D-Now?
This is a question I keep getting asked as I've been posting pictures about our D-Now weekend......

D-Now or Disciple Now is a youth retreat weekend. The youth get to get away from their home, hang out with friend, fellowship, play games/pranks, be lead by older students, etc. It focusses on Small Groups, Discipleship, Church Focus, and service opportunities. It's a great time for the youth to relax and focus on their relationship with God, but to also have a good time.

This weekend we were the Host Home for 11th grade girls. So we had 4 girls + 2 college leaders. It was great to see these girls all come together, become stronger friends, but also grow in their relationship with Christ. Us old people were very sleep deprived, but it was well worth the fun. (We got caught up on our sleep yesterday after church)! We were blessed with a great group of girls, who currently have their hearts in the right places. I pray these girls continue on Our Father's track for their lives, as they will soon be entering the real world!

As one of the D-Now traditions, the high school girls play pranks on the high school boys and vica-versa. So Saturday night was the big pranking night. They all dressed in their 'Destroyer' outfits and went out. It was all, of course, done in fun and no property was permanently damaged. Needless to say Tristan was in heaven, but we had to quickly remind her that this was not normal activity!!!

Here are our Destroyers ready to Roll Out!

Thank you God for a wonderful fun filled weekend!

God Bless You All

Teenagers

I sure wish kids came with an instruction book!

There is this thing that lives in my house, who  appears to be a teenage boy. Boy is the key word here....notice I didn't call it a teenage man. Because a man wouldn't act the way this thing acts. This thing is called my son, Jackson, who is gonna be the death of me.

(Heaven help me if T acts this way when she becomes a teenager!!) I better start praying!

I need a manual, an instruction book, a guide to teach me how to raise this boy. His attitude is off the chain! So does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this teenage boy situation?! This mama (and even dad) are at a lose for words!

HELP

God Bless,
Carrie

Slacker....

Ok, so I know I've been very slack. Sorry! If there is anyone out there that really keeps up with us! Ha

We have been some very busy people the last month! As some of you know we decided to list our house, of 11 years, at the end of January. By the 2nd weekend in March someone had  a contract on our house. So we needed to find a house pretty quick. Can u say stressed stressed stressed!? My poor realtors (who I love). I was calling, texting or emailing them every few minutes about this house or that house- and they were great to me everytime! With their help and support we finally found a house we love. It appears and feels like it will fit us perfectly!  The kids will have to switch to different schools next year within our county, but I'm sure they will do fine! Seeing how there are only two high schools in our county they will eventually meet back up with some friends!

We haven't moved in quite yet! The signing and moving day can't get here quick enough for us! We are so excited and have graciously Thank God for every Blessing he has laid upon us during this journey.

Day 159 of 365

If you have never been to St. Pattys Day in Savannah Ga...you don't know what you are missing! They say its the 2nd largest St. Pattys day party in US.

As the city prepares for the week long celebration they dye all the fountains green! If you look close you might be able to tell that the water is green.

Day 158 if 365

T-Bo getting BIG.....

Day 157 if 365

I'm falling way behind.........

It's been very busy and hectic around the Ramirez household! The last 2 weeks have consisted of beauty pageant (and lots of drama along with it), Jackson getting braces, our house being sold, a weekend visit with some great friends, trying to find a house for us to buy and preparing for St. Pattys Day in Savannah..... Ewwww.

Jackson did get his braces this week and has done very well. Only complaint I have is that he is convinced that he can't eat a lit of things. He thinks he needs to be on a liquid diet....I keep trying to tell him otherwise!
